Can anyone help me with this problem?
Solve (1- √2i)^i for real solution.
I think you're supposed to get e^ π/2

$z^c = e^{c \ln z}$ where $\ln z = \ln |z| + (\theta + 2 n \pi) i$ and $n$ is an integer.

Are you sure it's not $(1 - \sqrt{3} i)^i \, .... ?$

3. Positive. I understand that 3 would make things a lot easier but it definately says 2. Its from a textbook and it only gives the result, not the working.
It could be possible its a mistype or something I suppose...

Nevermind, I typed it into a complex calculator and the answer came out as complex so it must have been a mistype... sorry
