     y = (1-2x)^2 (x-3)

    to find the y intercept make x=0 and solve for y
    In this case
     y=(1-2*0)^2 (0-3)
     y=1^2(-3)
     y=-3

    for x intercepts make y=0 and solve for x. This is made easier for you as the equation is already factorised:
     0= (1-2x)^2 (x-3)
     (1-2x)^2 = 0 \mbox{ or } x-3 = 0
     x = \frac{1}{2} \mbox{ or } x=3

     \mbox{y intercept} (0,-3) <br />
\mbox{ x intercepts} (\frac{1}{2},0) \mbox {and} (3,0)
