Subtract 5x from both sides to get: $-0.77=x+0.92$

Subtract 0.92 from both sides: $-1.69=x$

Do you know how to subtract negatives? All this is doing is adding 3.6 to -2.5

You mean simplify?

I always go easy on myself, divide both numbers by 5 to get: $\frac{75}{200}$

Divide both by 5 again: $\frac{15}{40}$

Divide by 5 again: $\frac{3}{8}$
