So "cd" is one variable, rather than the product of two variables? And "c/d" is one variable, rather than a quotient of two variables?

What are you supposed to do with the original function?

When you reply, please include a clear listing of your work and reasoning so far. Thank you!

Yes, cd is one variable and c/d is another.
I'd like to have results with both variables.
