If the sum of the two numbers is 330, findthe two numbers. bonus: if -1/3x +7 = 16, what is the value of 2x+1? 2. Let x = number of adult tickets
and y = number of child tickets.

Total tickets, x + y = 33 ....................(1)

total money paid,

8x + 5y = 201 ...................................(2)

solve these two eqns and finish.

First number = x

other number = 2x - 3

their sum,

x + 2x - 3 = 330

solve and finish.

$\frac{-1}{3}x + 7 = 16$

solve for x

then in (2x + 1), substitute the value of x you found.
