I assume you are just learning about exponents.

I have: . $5^3,\:(\text{-}3)^2,\:(\text{-}2)^3$

i think the first one = 125 but im not sure. . Right!
any help will be helpful

$5^3 \:=\:(5)(5)(5) \:=\:125$

$(\text{-}3)^2 \:=\:(\text{-}3)(\text{-}3) \:=\:9$

$(\text{-}2)^3 \:=\:(\text{-}2)(\text{-}2)(\text{-}2) \:=\:-8$
