    Red face Polynomial Help

    Can anyone help?
I have a few problems on my math I need help with.
( the little ^ means its an exponent)

    (h^2+1) divided by (2h^4 - h^3 + h^2 + h - 3)

A word problem im having trouble with is
    The area of a trianle is 15x^4 + 3x^3 + 4x^2 - x - 3 sqaure meters. The length of the triangle is 6x^2 - 2 meters.

    one other problem is

    (using a variable)

choose a number and mutliply by 3
then add the sum of your number and 8 to the product you found
now divide by the sum of your number and 2
what number will the volunteer always have at the end. Explain?

    I got

    3x+(x+8) divided by 2.
    but it doesnt make sense

    With the division I get 2x^2 - x - 1.

    The third one,

    I think is (3x + x + 8)/ (x+2)

    = (4x + 8)/(x+2)

    = 4(x+2)/(x+2)

    =4

    So you always get 4.

You can see this by subbing in numbers too....
