    Logarithms

    Here's the question:

    if logbase4 (3) = p, then express logbase3 (12) in terms of p.

    This was a question on our exam, and I thought I got it right, but apparently I got it wrong. The answer I got was 2p. Any help would be appreciated.

    \log_312=\log_3(3\cdot 4)=\log_33+\log_34=1+\frac{1}{\log_43}=1+\frac{1}{  p}
