Q1. One fifth of a number added to thrice the number, is equal to 32. What is the number?
Q2 A number added to its two third becomes 35. What is the number?
If you just make an equation you can solve this really easily.
One fifth a number (number being A) plus three of that number = 32
A/5 + 3A = 32
A + 15A = 32*5
16A = 32*5
16A = 160
A = 10
Check to make sure(not absolutely necessary but at least you know your right)
10/5 + 3(10) = 32
2+ 30 = 32
32=32
Q2
A + 2A/3 = 35
3A + 2A = 35*3
5A = 105
A = 105/5 ---> A = 21 !
To solve these kinds of problems just make "a Number" equal a variable then you can write out the equation and solve.
