    Slope Help Please.

    Find the value of r so the line that passes through each pair has the given slope.

    1. (r, 3), (7, r), m = -\frac{1}{5}

    \frac{\Delta y}{\Delta x} = \frac{r-3}{7-r} = -\frac{1}{5}

    Multiply out:
    5(r-3) = -(7-r)

    And solve for r
