    cryptic Algebra proof

    Can someone help me solve this one?

    That is not an equation, so you can't solve for anything.

    Do you mean to "simplify" this one? If so, you say:
    \frac{10a-5b}{5b-10a} = \frac{10a-5b}{-(10a-5b)} = -1

    What you need to notice is that if you multiply (5b-10a) by -1 you get (10a-5b). Can you see why?

    So \frac{10a-5b}{5b-10a}=\frac{-(5b-10a)}{5b-10a} = -1
