    How to calculate percentage?

Ok so my basic math skill's are that bad, yes I'm embarrased but what better place to ask then this!

Suppse we have a figure 250 (let's say it's curreuncey) if we convert it to another we get 180, how do I calculate by what percentage it decreased?

    Thanks

first we can find what percentage of 250 is 180

    we get this by: (180/250)*100 = 72%

    thus, it decreased by 100 - 72 = 28%
