    help with simultaneous equations

    Having problems with this one - and other questions like it. Any general advice would be better than the answer, although the answer would be good too !

    KX^2 +8x + 5 = 0

    Find the value of K for which the equation has real routes.

    The discrimant is non-negative.
    Thus,
    64-20k\geq 0
    Thus,
    20k\leq 64
    Thus,
    k\leq 3.2
