Scale factor
Hi, I need help on scale factors on a project that is due on Monday. My room is 12ft/12ft. I need to make it into a drawing, so I said for every 1ft= 3 cm.
That would be 12/12=x/3, then I would multiply 12 by 3 and get 36. And 12x=36, which 12 goes evenly into 36 3 times. I think I got the drawing correctly, but what did I get the scale or scale factor? I need help PLEASE!!!!!!! Help would be appreciated.(Thinking)

1 ft = 3 cm is the scale.
scale factor is a little over 10:1

I am so sorry to say it again but how did you get it? And once again THANK YOU!!!

1 ft = 12(2.54) cm
12(2.54)/3 = 10.16
the scale factor is 10.16 cm to 1 cm.
