$\displaystyle s = 1/2at^2$ divide by 1/2 to get

$\displaystyle 2s = at^2$ tthen divide by a to get

$\displaystyle 2s/a = t^2$ then square root to get

$\displaystyle t= \sqrt{ 2 s/a}$

sorry im no good at usign this [tex] stuff

$\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{2s}{a}}=t$

$\displaystyle s = 1/2at^2$
$\displaystyle \frac{s}{2} = at^{2}$
$\displaystyle \frac{s}{2}a = t^{2}$
$\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{s}{2}a}=t$

I suppose :p
