    factoring an expression

    I need help with pre-algebra problem.
    How do I factor this expression?
    7 + 21p

    = 7 + 3 * 7 *p
    =7(3p)+7

    Would that be what they're looking for final answer?

    You almost got it. You just need to pull the 7 out, like this:
    7(3p+1)
