Complicated Log problem
Solve for x. My solution is attached but I don't know the next step.

You got a little misconstrued.

$\frac{log(x+2)}{log(2)}=\frac{log(8)}{log(2)}-\frac{log(x)}{log(2)}$

$log(x+2)+log(x)=log(8)$

$log(x(x+2))=log(8)$

$x^{2}+2x-8=0$

There will be two solutions, only one is valid.
