    Hi,

    e^x + 9e^-x = 6 Multiply both sides by e^x and rearrange:

(e^x)^2-6e^x+9=0 The LHS is a complete square:

    (e^x-3)^2=0

    Thus e^x = 3, that means x = ln(3)
