1.
At 8 am, a truck leaves a depot, traveling west at 45mph. Two hours later, a car leaves the same depot and travels at 60 mph until it overtakes the truck. At what time of day does the car overtake the truck?

2.

45*t=60*(t-2) Have the same way lengh. but Car use times less 2 hours.

then t+8 AM ,that is "what's time"

Odd numbers are separated by two. If we let $x$ to be the smallest of the three consecutive odd integers, then the numbers in question are:
$\{x, x+2, x+4\}$

Translating the words in algebra: $2(x+4)+3x=73$

Solve for $x$ and plug in the original set.

"3 times the smalled " suggest u mean other two smaller integers?or smallest integer?

Let's suggest the largest integer of three consecutive odd integers is x,then other smalls integer are x-2 and x-4 . (that's point)

1. 8.00 Truck leaves at 45mph
10.00 Car leaves at 60mph

12:00 Truck has gone 4 x 45 = 140 miles
12:00 Car has gone 2 x 60 = 120 miles

13:00 Truck has gone 5 x 45 = 185 miles
13:00 Car has gone 3 x 60 = 180 miles

14:00 Truck has gone 6 x 45 = 230 miles
14:00 Car has gone 4 x 60 = 240 miles

12:30 Truck has gone 5.5 x 45 = 207.5 miles
12:30 Car has gone 3.5 x 60 = 210 miles

12:20 Truck has gone 5 1/3 x 45 = 200 miles
12:20 Car has gone 3 1/3 x 60 = 200 miles

OK. Trial and error does the trick after a few minutes. The car will overtake the truck at 12:20:01.

2. Again, trial and error does the trick. The numbers are 13, 15, 17.

2 x 17 = 34
+
3 x 13 = 39
= 73

6. thank you soo much guys... i appreciate a lot ... Bruce I liked your method
