Thread: 7 x _ = 2 x _

Ok, I'm embarrased to even post this but this is 3rd grade pre-algebra...

The question is to find the common factor.

Here is the question:

7 x _ = 2 x _

I was assuming 7 x 2 = 2 x 7

yeah that looks fine to me. If both blanks must be the same number then you must use zero for both blanks. but in general the greatest common factor of 2 and 7 is 1 since they're both prime.
