Can someone tell me how to get this function in terms of q:

I think this should be the way to approach the question. Correct me if i am wrong. learning along the way (Happy)

p = 500000 / q^1.5

pq^1.5 = 500000 ( cross multiply )

q^1.5 = 500000 / p

lg(q^1.5) = lg(500000/p) ( lg both sides )

(1.5)lg(q) = lg(500000/p)

lg(q) = lg(500000/p) / 1.5

q = 10 ^ (lg(500000/p) / 1.5)

Hope it helps. - Dec 5th 2008, 07:42 AMSwiftler
