# simulataneous equations HELP!!

simulataneous equations HELP!!
Does any one know how to successfully complete simulataneous equations I have been trying to solve this one for ages and just cant do it is stressing me out (Headbang)

3p1-4p1=57
2p1+2p2-10=0

I'd appreciate any help

I think there is an typo..It should be

3p1-4p2=57---------[1]
2p1+2p2-10=0-------[2]

Here is the solution:

Multiply 2 in equation [2]

Now we have;

$3p_1-4p_2=57---[1]$
$4p_1+4p_2=20--[2]$

Add them...

$7p_1=77$
$p_1=11$

Substitute in [1]

We have $-4p_2=24$
$p_2=-6$

So $p_1=11$ and $p_2=-6$
