Thread: Natural log help!

I have a few problems that I absolutely have to get right for my class. I feel pretty confident about most and just wanted to get your thoughts on this one.

Give the exact answer and if an answer is not a rational number, give an approximation rounded to three decimal places.

5ln(x+3)=2

I came up with:

x=e^2/5 - 3

and

x is approx. - 1.522

Anyone have any thoughts?
