Thread: Quick Question

Im working with Factoring and have a quick question the problem is this...

(x-3)(x+4) =30

which is

X (squared)+x-42=0

But I can't think of anything that would work for breaking it down further. and I need to be able to get two solutions and set them equal to zero. can anyone help?

never mind for those who started working on it thanks, but the answer is

(x+1)(X-21)

x=-1
x=21
