    If you are confused with the sign you can do like this
    -2x+1 <6
    1<6+2x
    -5<2x
    x>-5/2

    Hello Faz,

    -2x+1<6

    -2x<5

    x>-\frac{5}{2}

    You must remember to reverse the inequality sign when dividing or multiplying by a negative number.
