12/x+1 for length and 6/4-x for width
The rectangle given has a permieter of 14 units. Find the values of x factoring a quadratic equation.
So basically i really have no idea, i drew it, but from there Im not sure, help me out please

next time, use parentheses (as corrected above) next time to make your problem more clear to those that read it.

you should know that P = 2(L+W) ...

that means L+W = half the perimeter, correct?

so, solve the equation ...

$\frac{12}{x+1} + \frac{6}{4-x} = 7$

first step is to get a common denominator.
