    Question Factoring a quadrinomial

    Hey guys,

    I'm trying to brush up on some factoring skills and I don't know what to do with this one:

    -x^3+2x^2+x-2

    Any advice as to how to approach this kind of problem?

    Hello, Canadian0469!

    Factor: . -x^3+2x^2+x-2

    Factor "by grouping": . -x^2(x-2) + (x-2)

    Factor again: . (x-2)(-x^2+1) \;=\;(x-2)(1-x^2)

    Factor again: . (x-2)(1-x)(1+x)
