the sum of 3 consecutive natural numbers is 15 more than the greatest of them. What is the greatest of the three numbers?

Yes, I think they are 7,8,9

We suppose that the numbers are

a, a+1, a+2

the greatest of them is a+2

then

a+a+1+a+2=15+a+2

2a+1=15

2a=14

a=7

Then the numbers are

a=7

a+1=8
