Math Help - Proportion?

    Proportion?

    If it takes 2 people 6 hrs to cut the grass at a stadium, How many people will it take to cut the grass in 4 hrs?

    we need a proportion right?

    so I can so 1/3=x/4 but this does not seem to work

    "2 people 6 hrs to cut the grass" means the grass requires 12 person-hours of time. If x people cut it in 4 hours that gives 4x person-hours. Therefore 12 = 4x => x = 3.

    So you need 3 people.
