    Is it 8^{x} +1 = 32\sqrt{2} or 8^{x+1} = 32\sqrt{2}

    8^{x+1} = 32 \sqrt{2} \Rightarrow (2^3)^{(x+1)} = 2^5 \, 2^{1/2} \Rightarrow 2^{3x + 3} = 2^{11/2} \Rightarrow 3x + 3 = \frac{11}{2}.
