let C = number of cones sold

S = number of sundaes sold

C + S = 172

C(1.10) + S(2.35) = 294.20

solve the system using the method taught to you in class. - November 9th 2008, 01:37 PMxRadicalAurax
thanks for helping set up the system but my teacher is pretty much terrible and I couldn't understand how to solve a system like this using substitution :( how would i solve using substitution?

C + S = 172

S = 172 - C

C(1.10) + (172 - C)(2.35) = 294.20

solve for C - November 9th 2008, 01:43 PMxRadicalAurax
