I get (x+2)/5, is this correct?

I don't know how you arrived at your conclusion so I don't know where to correct you. If you're simplifying by putting everything over one denominator, then we need an LCD.

That would be $5x^2$

$\frac{x^2+3}{x^2}+\frac{x-1}{5}=\frac{5x^2\left(\frac{x^2+3}{x^2}\right)+5x^ 2\left(\frac{x-1}{5}\right)}{5x^2}=\frac{5x^2+15+x^3-x^2}{5x^2}=\frac{x^3-4x^2+15}{5x^2}$
