I have been trying to work out this problem based on examples and cannot seem to work it out entirely with confidence. What is the best strategy for attacking this type of problem?

Solve: 1.3y + 4.4 = 0.8y + 4.1

Thanks in advance.

1.3y + 4.4 = 0.8y + 4.1

try to bring 0.8y to the left

try to bring 4.4 to the right

0.5y = -0.3

1/0.5y = 2

0.5y*2=-0.3*2

y = -0.6
