    simultaneous equation

    hi can some one help me with 2x+5 = -4/3x+25/3..........please explain everstep im awful with things like this!!

    Algebra

    $\displaystyle
    2x+5 = -(4/3)x+25/3
    $

    $\displaystyle
    3*(2x+5 )= 3*(-(4/3)x+25/3)
    $

    $\displaystyle
    6x + 15 = -4x + 25
    $

    $\displaystyle
    10x = 10
    $

    $\displaystyle
    x = 1
    $
