    Conversions mpg to liter

    A car gets 52 mpg in th city. How many liters of gasoline does the car use to travel 100km.

    There are about 3.8 gallons per liter and about 1.6 km per mile.

    To convert from "miles per gallon" (mi/gal) to "kilometers per liter", multiply (mi/gal)(3.8 gal/liter)(1.6 km/mile).
