let d = distance from start
then distance from finish = 2d

total distance = 10 = d + 2d

10 = d + 2d
10 = 3d

d = 10/3 = 3.333 km

I don't get it? why would she be running away from the finish line???

5. [soze=3]Hello, bigreddog![/soze]

Jenna is twice as far from the finish line as she is from the start of a 10-km race.
How far has she run?

Did you make a sketch?
Code:
      S            10 km            F
| - - - - * - - - - - - - - - |
:    x    :        2x         :
