I need to know how to workout and get the answer to the following question.

2 = 10 + z

The answer is -16 but I do not know how to get it. I got -16 from my math teacher and I need to know how to work it out please help me thanks!!!

multiply both sides by -3 and you get: -6=10+z

then subtract 10 from both sides to get: -16=z
