Ok so the problem I have to do is
(4-x)/(x^2+6x+8)
The correct answer is apparently 3/(x+2) - 4/(x+2)
but how is this possible if the denominator is x^2+6x+8? When the denominator is factored, aren't the factors (x+4) and (x+2) ?
Is this a mistake in the answer key or am I just misinterpreting?
If anyone can tell me how to do this, your help would be much appreciated!
