cube root on the calculator?
How do you graph the cube root function on a calculator I have a TI83+

Ive looked in catalog none there I know how to do the Root then the x inside the root but how do you add the three in front

there is probably a $\boxed{\sqrt[3]{x}}$ button, if not, there is a $\boxed{\sqrt[x]{\color{white}....}}$ button (it is usually the second function on the $\boxed{y^x}$ button). if all else fails, note that taking the cube root is the same as raising to the 1/3 power

I definitely remember there being those buttons on my [old] TI-83, however raising to the 1/3rd power is much more convenient, and learning to think about cubic roots (and square roots, etc.) in this form is very useful as you progress in mathematics.

Hit the math button, then its option #4, you should see it there.
