    Factoring

    Factor completely:

x^2-8x-48. I have (x-6)(x-8) as my answer. Is this right?

    x^3-x^2-42x. I have x(x-6)(x+7). Right or wrong?

    Hello, Suwanee!

    29] Factor completely: x - 8x - 48

    I have: (x - 6)(x - 8) as my answer. . Is this right?

Hasn't anyone told you that you can check your answers yourself ??

    Does (x - 6)(x - 8) equal x - 8x - 48 ?

If it does, you've factored correctly.
If it doesn't, you did it wrong.

    Got it?
