    (p- 1/11) (p+1/11) =

    would it be 0?

    No, it would be:

    \left(p-\frac{1}{11}\right)\left(p+\frac{1}{11}\right)=p^2-\left(\frac{1}{11}\right)^2=p^2-\frac{1}{121}
