m and n are two different numbers from the list. m is a factor of 12 and $m = 4n$

i don't really understand how to do this question because if m is a factor of 12 than m could either equal 3 or 12. how are you suppose to know which one to choose?

can someone please go through it step by step for me ? thank you

Looks like you would choose m = 12 and n = 3, since m = 4n means that 12 = 4(3)
