    exponential equation

    How would you go about deducing this?

    E^X=4-3E^-X

    Any help would be awesome, thanks

    e^x=4-3e^{-x}
    multiply both sides by e^x :

    (e^x)^2=4e^x-3

    (e^x)^2-4e^x+3=0

    this is a quadratic with X=e^x
