take logarithms to find ln(S)=ln(1250)+2.7ln(y) ==> ln(y)=(ln(S)-ln(1250))/2.7 ==> y = exp((ln(S)-ln(1250))/2.7).
Hello all, have a quick question regarding my assignment. The formula in question is S = 1250y^2.7
I'm trying to work out how to make y the letter in front of the equation. I'm coming up with y = 2.7 root (S/1250). But that still doesn't help me.
There is no marks for knowing how to do this question, it's a hydrology spreadsheet for excel and it's supposed prior knowledge. Even if the answer i have above is right, i have no idea how to plug this into excel. Is there a really easy way to transform this function into spreadsheet formula? I'd be able to ask my teacher tomorrow afternoon and get the answer but really want to get cracking on the assignment tonight, and without knowing this i can't start.
Ha, yep. I know that i should already know how to do this
Any help would be much appreciated.
