Please help me solve these two problems. i tried and tried to solve theme:confused

1.2/5( 5a +35) - 8 =12

2.2x + 3/4(4x +16)= -8

I am sorry it was one more

3.-4/7a = - 28

are you sure it's not meant to be 2/(5(5a+35))

Then
7(-4/7)a = 7*(-28)

(-4)a = 7*(-28)

(-4)a/(-4) = 7*(-28)/(-4)

a = 7*(7) = 49

(-4/7)a = -28

(-7/4)(-4/7)a = (-7/4)(-28)

a = -7*(-7) = 49
