Just cannot solve these 2 Algebra "game" questions

i am not that good at algebra, and have spent a couple hours trying to figure these two riddle type questions out and i give up. here is how they go.. if you need clarification, feel free to ask.

1. The following 4 numbers must each be used once and equal 24. (7/8, 3/4, 1/3, 9). You can only divide, multiply, add, and subtract. No powers, square roots, anything else. you can make the problem look something like (7/8 x 3/4)-(9/ 1/3).. just as long as you use each number once.

2. The following 4 numbers must each be used once and equal 24. (6, 6, 11, 4). For this problem you can divide, multiply, add, and subtract. You may also do the following: x^2, x^3, square root, and that symbol with a little 3 in the top left hand corner of the square root problem. like 3sqroot of 27 equals 3.. because 3x3x3 equals 27. this is basically the same problem as above, only you can use the new stuff this time. (again, im not too good with terminology either.)
