Multiply it out, you get (8x-2) -5(9x^2 -49). Then combine like terms, -45x^2 +8x + 243. Try to factor if possible, probably not.

Try to factor if possible, probably not. f(x) = (4x-1) 2 - 5 (3x+7)(3x-7) (4x-1)(4x-1)-5(3x+7)(3x-7) 16xsquared-8x+1-5(3x+7)(3x-7) how did you get (8x-2x)? i got 16xsquared-8x+1 when expanding and simplifying (4x-1)squared
oh, you're taking it to the power. Usually you do ^2 to show that you are taking it to the 2nd power.
if it is (4x-1)squared then (4x-1)(4x-1)-5(3x+7)(3x-7) (16x^2-4x-4x+1)-5(9x^2-21x+21x-49) 16x^2-4x-4x+1-45x^2+245 -29x^2-8x+246 i hope it helps.
