    Algebra problem

    Solve: \sqrt{2x+4}=-1/2 x+7 could someone help me get the correct quadratic?

    Squaring both sides you should end up with

    2x+4=\tfrac{1}{4}x^2-7x+49

    Do you think you can come up with the proper quadratic now?
