    \frac{w-2}{w-6} + 1 = \frac{w+5}{w+4}

    \frac{w-2}{w-6} + \frac{w-6}{w-6} = \frac{w+5}{w+4}

    \frac{w-2+w-6}{w-6} = \frac{w+5}{w+4}

    \frac{2w - 8}{w - 6} = \frac{w+5}{w+4}

    (2w-8)(w+4) = (w+5)(w-6)

    2w^2 -32 = w^2 - w - 30

    2w^2 - 32 - (w^2 - w - 30) = 0

    2w^2 - 32 - w^2 + w + 30 = 0

    w^2 + w - 2 = 0

    (w+2)(w-1) = 0

    w = -2, 1
