    Twelve aded to the sum of a number and two is forty-four. Find the number.

    I got this far.......

    Let X = unknown number

    12 + x ?????????????

    x+2+12=44 can you solve this?

    it goes 12+x+2=44
    x+14=44
    x=44-14
    x=30
